A DAY ON THE RIVER

Surrounded by kayaks and other gear, Brittany Johnson (front) and Kobe Williams take a break Wednesday after a nine-mile float down the Shenango River. Johnson said a group of five kayaked from the dam to Riverside Park, seeing three bald eagles overhead and fish swimming right up to their boats.
